INTECAP Training Center Camantulul.
This new training center from INTECAP, ( Instituto Técnico de Capacitación y Productividad) Technical Institute for Training and Productivity, is located in Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa and it is the first of it's kind to have student residences. The center is currently used to train students in Gastronomy, Hotel Management and Tourism. The students themselves attend the visitors and guests. It was inaugurated in March 2008.
This is a new modern and ecological facility to host conferences and training courses, with excellent service, great food and beautiful nature.

Thermal Solar Energy
Ecology friendly design was a priority in this new facility. Cutting down on fossil fuel and focusing on renewable energy, it incorporated cutting edge technology of a thermal solar energy system. The solar energy component is also used as an onsite training component.This system was designed and built by Soluciones Energeticas, a Guatemalan Firm dedicated to design and implementation of renewable energy solutions. It is the biggest thermal solar energy system in Guatemala. For further information you can go to their company website
The facility is build on a 6,300 square meter area and cost $2,590,604.
It is located 93 kilometers form the capital Guatemala, accessible through an ultramodern highway that leads through the costal area of Guatemala.
It features all the modern comfort and gadgets that we need to feel at home: beautifully decorated rooms, hot water, air condition, phones, TV and wireless internet services, laundry services, restaurant, lots of parking space, 24 hours security.
INTECAP is a unique institution in Guatemala, it is autonomous and has its own resources. The boards of Directors are representatives from the public sector, the private sector and the labor sector. It has so far 21 training centers located in different geographical regions of Guatemala and there are plans to build 6 new ones. For more information here is the website.
