Juan Andres Rodrigues and Orestus with a tough Last Qualifier.

2008 Olympic Games, Hong Kong, Horse Jumping.

Juan Andres Rodrigues Guatemala on his horse Orestus had a difficult day in the last qualifying round in the Horse jumping competition in Hon Kong today.

The difficult Olympic track was a bit too much for them and they had 16 penalty points and 1 point time penalty to finish in position 41 in today’s qualifying event. With a total of 35 points penalty in the 3 rounds of qualification.

 

The Guatemalan rider finished in the 41st spot, between the two Swedes, Lotta Schultz position 40 and Helena Lundback position 42.

The top 35 riders go on to the final.

Last qualifier were. Ludger Beerbaum, Germany on his horse All Inclusive with 24 penalty points

The top qualifiers are:

Tony Andre Hansen, Norway on 3 points penalty

Belgium’s Jos Lansik on 4 points penalty

Ward McLain US on 4 points penalty

Edwina Alexander from Australia on 4 points penalty

Canada’s Eric Lamaze also on 4 penalty points.

We wish Juan Andres and Orestus welcome back home and hope they stat their preparation for the next Olympics in London 2012.
