Guatemala's Juan Ignacio Maegli was Black Flagged and Disqualified under rule 30.3 at the start of the race.
In short, rule 30.3 applies if a boat is over the starting line when the race starts. Even Seng Leong Koh, Singapore was panelized under the same rule. And they shared position 44 in this race.
Race 5 was won by Luka Redilic, Croatia. Followed by Vasilij Zbogar, Slovenia and in third place Norway’s Kristian Ruth.

Italy’s Diego Romero recovered his first place in the overall standings with a strong 10th place in race 5.
Sweden’s Rasmus Myrgren maintained his 2nd place with 8th place in race 5.
Slovenia’s Vasilij Abogar moved up to 3rd place after his strong 2nd place in race 5.
Loka Radelic this race winner moved up from 18th to 11th position in the overall standings with his strong sailing today.
With this unfortunate miss Juan moved back to position 33 in the overall standings.
We are only at the half way point in the Laser Sailing Competition and Juan still have 5 more races to recover.
