Guatemala's Perfect Heist

Guatemala's private banks got a stimulus package from Banco de Guatemala in November and December last year, just like some handpicked US banks did in the Bush administration. Not the same amount of money, but with the same goal, to increase liquidity in the system and subsequently the private banks would then give loans to businesses and people to keep the economy going. The same "bla, bla, bla" theory that was on the news channels of the US for months.

And of course, since it was recommended and done in the US, Guatemala got the advice from the international economic institutions to do exactly the same. Having seen how the private banks had benefited in the US without any strings attached to receiving tax payer money, they were eager to do exactly the same in Guatemala, that was the brilliant theory of the ever so brilliant top notch economists of Guatemala, who own of course stocks in the private banks

What did the private banks in Guatemala do? They received the money from the government, but they are not giving credits to people or businesses; they invested the money back into Banco de Guatemala to get a secure return of 7.25 % of interest.

The government gives them a gift of tax payer money (your money) for one purpose and they use it for another. Very well, a perfect imitation of what happened in the US.

Now the President of Banco de Guatemala, Antonieta de Bonilla says there is no law that can force the private Banks to give credits.

Ah, nobody thought about that before they gave the private banks your money. Since the bankers have this reputation of being so charitable and trustworthy citizens, no strings where attached to the injection of money to their banks.

We denounce the international and national economists as complete frauds, crooks and liars who have only their own interests at heart and screw you out of your money any way they can.

We denounce the private bankers as a bunch of crooks, liars, scumbags and frauds.

We denounce the international economic institutions to be the instigators of this whole fraud scheme, and we think they should ALL go to jail.

We also think that some hefty commissions changed hands to ensure that the financial top officials of the Government would give the money to certain banks.

If you still trust the private bankers and the government to take care of your money, you must be insane. If you do not protest this fraud, you must be insane.

And who started this whole "greed is better than anything else in the world theory", the neo-cons - Wall Street - and they got away with it. It has become and epidemic, the greed has spread worldwide, it has been relentlessly promoted and rewarded by the neo-cons and it has ruined the world economy.

The only consolation is that we know exactly and for sure, they will go to hell. We have an anonymous source up there in heaven, and there is no reprieve for these guys. In heaven you can´t buy your way in, you can´t bribe and you can´t buy up the stocks to have a majority of the vote of the board of directors.

Defining The Perfect Heist
Absolutely right on! An honest journalist writes an honest commentary. Unfortunately, in times of universal deceit, it is revolutionary to tell the truth. I hope no harm comes.

How fabulous for people of Guatemala !

Lets not forget how all this went in front of senate in usa. And how Henry Paulson the Bushe's treasury secretary said we need that money NOW!
then senators asked, why not take some and we see as we go?
Pauson: NO NO We need it all now !!

Bernake: Sure ! WE need it all NOW imediately!

Were any string attached? No
When Blomberg asked Federal Reserve to show us how they distributed the money they refused.
Now Bloomberg is taking them to court in regards to that.

Crooks crooks and nothing but the crooks.

Lets not forget how they also made sure they pay off all the huge bonuses to the same people that caused this fiasco..
Usualy people get paid bonuses when their performance is well and business is making money, but that is no problems for Bankers, Paulson and his friends.

First rape the country investors with bogus financial instruments they made up ... to make money for themselves, and when all goes down the toilet .. then ask the same people who are incidentaly taxpayers to pay for your sins.

Corruption on international level.

...
That is all well and good except for one little problem. There ain't no hell! Wow! Imagine that! Yet another fraud perpetrated on the good people of this planet. Sorry, but just keep following the 'bucks' up the ladder and you will find all your answers. Christianity is nothing more than a way to get people to give them (church) their land, money and self respect. So, don't be surprised when you die and don't see these neocons floating around with flames licking at their heels. It is all one big con. Get it?

Hell is your own reality
well said - yes there is no hell to crisp your heels but there is certainly the universal law of karma. These miscreants who propagate greed, corruption and misery will eventually reap the same. Whatever you create will always find its way home again. This is not some gilded quaint theory but an immutable law based on the foundations of unversal reality.
Next time you see a person suffering, in a wheel chair, being abused - do not feel sorry for them. rather see it as the universes unique and elegant way of giving back to you what you gave out whether in this life or a previous one.
There are no such thing as accidents or bad luck - just a never ending flow of karma returning to its source - YOU.

As so many have said over history 'what ever you do to others, so then you do to yourself'. Sooner or later. So play nice!
