Guatemalan Fair - Feria Chapina, 2008

E-mail Print PDF

feria chapina logoGuatemalan Fair - Feria Chapina, 2008, New York and Los Angeles.

We had a phone conversation with Licenciado Juan Luis Martínez, CEO of "The Feria Chapina", this morning. We probably woke him up, he was in Los Angeles and we just called his Guatemalan cell phone and it worked.
One of the important issues we discovered is that this event has much more on the agenda than only business. It also is an opportunity to network and to create support by and for Guatemalans who live in the USA. It brings us closer together, people get to know each other and it is an occasion for Guatemalans to have a bigger sense of community far away from home.
Last year when the Feria was held in New York more than 7 thousand people gathered.

This year, the inauguration in New York will again count with the presence of the General Consul Rosa Maria Merida de Mora of the Guatemalan Consulate in New York.

Check out the website, it is in English and in Spanish

What is Guatemalan Fair?

They are commercial and cultural events with the main goal of bringing together Guatemalan families that are part of the Hispanic communities living in the US. The Guatemalan Fairs take place in Los Angeles California and New York.

At these events, business people show products and services that can satisfy the needs of Guatemalans living in the USA as well as the needs of their relatives living in Guatemala.

Visitors to the fairs will enjoy traditional dishes and drinks from Guatemala and there will be rides for the children. There will also be musical groups playing live Guatemalan songs thus creating the mood of an authentic Guatemalan festivity away from home.

The Guatemalan Fairs are organized by EVEFER (Eventos y Ferias Internacionales S.A.) a company with a successful experience in the organization of events and fairs.

¿Why participate in the Guatemalan Fairs?

To reach Guatemalans living in the US, specially in Los Angeles, CA. and New York, the states with the highest concentration of Guatemalans. To December 30th 2007 these vibrant communities will send $ 3,898.00* to their relatives in Guatemala. This is a great opportunity to:

Showcase your products and services thus positioning successfully your brand.

Find business representatives, improve distribution and increase sales of your products or services.

Build databases and increase your portfolio of clients.

As a successful business you can take part in an event that is unique in its category specially because you can reach the increasing spending power of Guatemalans living in the US.
