The Guatemalan American Association of RI is an entity, which has been working for over eleven years, serving and supporting the Guatemalan as well as Latin American community at large, in the state of Rhode Island.
We strive to maintain our customs and folklore alive, while becoming an intricate part of our communities in Rhode Island, through educational, health, athletic as well as cultural and social projects.
On this occasion as we celebrate the independence of Central American Counties, we will be joined by Miss Guatemala of Rhode Island 2008/09 and personalities of Guatemala and Rhode Island. We invite you and hope that we can count on the participation of the entire community and the media of the State of Rhode Island and its surrounding areas.

Event: Election and coronation of Miss Guatemala RI 2008-2009.

Location: Will depart from the Armory on Dexter street Providence, RI. 02909 arriving at River Side Park on Aleppo street Providence, RI. 02909.

Event: Central American Festival.
Location: River Side Park..
Date/Time: Sunday September 14, 2008 as soon the Caravan arrives, ending 6:00pm.
